Georgina Public Libraries offer services related to our library collections, such as borrowing, interlibrary loan and equipment rentals, as well as third party products and services. Some products such as municipal bins and York Transit tickets are sold as a service to the community but library customers should consult the appropriate vendor if they have questions about the product or availability.
ZoomText 10 software for the visually impaired is available on one public computer in each of the three Georgina Library branches. At the Keswick and Peter Gzowski (Sutton) Branches there are designated accessible computers that come with JAWS (screen reading software) and a scanner; a Big Track trackball; a large-key keyboard; a webcam; and headphones. The accessible computers also come with Kurzweil3000 software for reading and writing assistance. Accessible computers are available for booking at your library branch; reservations are first-come, first-served. The Visiting Library Service, a Georgina Friends of the Library program, provides library materials to those who cannot visit us. For more information on accessing this service or volunteering to deliver books, please view the program description or mailto:georginavls@yahoo.ca.
Service Canada connects Canadians to federal government services like: passports, SIN, EI, CPP applications and much more. See their website for more details. Georgina Public Library’s Keswick Branch hosts the Georgina Scheduled Outreach Site.
A trained Service Canada employee will be onsite in the library the first Thursday of every month from 10 - 5 pm to help with:
- Informing and educating citizens and communities on Government of Canada and Service Canada initiatives, services and benefits;
- Facilitating access and application, through on-line connectivity to Service Canada - wide services (i.e. EI, ISP and SIN) and for established partner programs (e.g. Passport forms);
- Services include information and application about new offerings such as Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG);
The Outreach site serves as a drop-off point for applications, and accepts payments.

Welcome Centre Immigrant Services provide a one-stop service under one roof designed to guide and support immigrants through the maze of information and resources in York Region. Services are provided free of charge. A Welcome Centre employee will be onsite in the library the first Thursday of every month from 11-6 pm.
Municipal sales of Blue Boxes (large $9.00), Green Bins ($20.00), Beige Bins (used in the Green bins as kitchen catchers for Green Bin materials $5.00), garbage tags ($1.00 each), garage sale permits (free) and Town park permits (free to residents). Garage Sale permits are also available online at the Town of Georgina's Garage Sale Permit Request website registration form.
Resident Parking Passes, from May through Thanksgiving Day, 2012, are available at all three branches. Residents must bring their current driver's license and vehicle license plate numbers and provide their phone number for staff to register and issue the pass(es). Two passes are provided per household.
Meeting rooms are available to rent by the hour at all 3 branches. Call Recreation, Parks, and Culture at 905 476-4301ext. 2235 for information about fees and to book any of the library rooms. 
York Regional Transit (YRT) tickets and passes are available at all three branches. YRT prices change and customers should contact YRT for up to date pricing.
