This page is loaded with information for school and personal research. It includes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, access to subscription library databases that you can connect directly to from home or school by entering your 14 digit Georgina Public Libraries card number. Also included are links designed to give you authoritative, current, topic-specific websites for school and personal research. Additionally, you can access Ontario's live chat reference service called askON. Live chat is available Monday through Thursday, from 12:30pm-8:30pm and Friday and Saturday 12:30pm-4:30pm.

NetLibrary eBooks (1320 electronic books) include new books plus many classics that have no copyright restrictions. Books in many different subjects are available, including politics, business, health, science, philosophy, psychology, and literature. Many are reference books, to assist with homework or personal research. Georgina Public Libraries offers the collection through SOLS (Southern Ontario Library Service), a member of the Consortium of Ontario Libraries (COOL).
How do I create a NetLibrary account?
Click here to go to the NetLibrary signup form. This registration must be completed at a Georgina Public Library Internet terminal, not via the Internet from a home computer.
· Fill in the form, making sure to fill in all the fields, including your e-mail address.

· You are logged into NetLibrary

Tumble Talking Books is an online audio book library. Unlike NetLibrary E-audiobooks, TumbleTalkingBooks are never all checked out, never on hold. As many people can listen to the same book at the same time as they like. Titles include unabridged high quality audio versions of classic literature, non-fiction, fiction, and children and teen books. TumbleTalkingBooks have licensed audio books from audio book publishers like Blackstone Audio, Highbridge Audio, and Naxos Audio. TumbleTalkingBooks also offer plays and drama, including all cast versions of popular Shakespeare plays. The collection includes 65 Read-Along titles which combine large print online text with complete unabridged narration.

Canadian Reference Centre
Combines Canadian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books to create the largest collection of regional full text content available to Canadian libraries. You will need your library card barcode to access these resources. Staff are happy to assist.
Gale Virtual Reference Library
Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7.

CPI.Q (Canadian Periodical Index)
